This very tall figure on the left is coil built and it is entitled, “Reaching #1“.  It was part of the traveling museum exhibition “21st Century Ceramics in the US and Canada” and was featured on page 69 in the catalog. The figure features a human body on one side with a variety of stamp imagery on the surface.  The opposite side has the stylized elk teeth dress design at the bottom, a belt in the center and the top has a variety of impressed designs.  The piece has a metal base that it stands on for stability.  It is a beautiful complement of slips, texture and design.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
