Rose Chino was a daughter of noted potter Marie Z. Chino. This small jar combines traditional forms and designs. The shape is similar to the classic Acoma ollas with the high shoulder. The jar is painted with a rain and plant design and it is wonderfully complex for the size.  The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Rose Chino”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
