This is miniature plate is complex piece by Jennifer Moquino.  The design is a Big Horn Sheep which is incised into the clay.  Note the amazing realism in the head of the sheep.  Surrounding the sheep is an avanyu and feather pattern.  The back of the plate is a micaceous clay.  All the various colors are derived from natural clay slips.  The plate is signed on the back.
